Fender Stratocaster

This 2007 Robin Tonemonger is in superb condition.  Color is Metallic Copperhead.  I am the original owner.  Never gigged, only left my apartment to visit my tech.  He swapped out the stock Rio Grande Dual Calibrated pickup set for a complete set of Lollar Blackface pickups.  The Rio Grandes were outstanding for punchy, Texas style SRV tones, but I wanted something a little more chimey and versatile, and the detailed and complex Lollars REALLY deliver the goods.  But it's your choice, because the Rio Grandes WILL come included with the Robin.  This Tonemonger is simplicity at its finest:  it's a hardtail, so you've got no trem tuning hassles, and the chunky-yet-comfy (and flamey!) neck has a profile that fits like a glove and lets you focus on the music.  Weight is just under the 8 pound mark, and the balance is perfect. Frets are large, nut width is 1 & 11/16s.  Neck pocket is very tight--this is a well built instrument in every regard.  The guitar is set up for 10s, with medium action and no buzz.  Original hard shell case is included.  Robin is a small company that has flown under the radar for many years, but once you play one, you'll be converted.  The fact is, I was so impressed with this Tonemonger that I bought a second.  The one I'm keeping is a little lighter than this one.  You could spend a good deal more money for a guitar not nearly as fine as this one.  Auction is within USA ONLY!  Payment is due within 3 days of auction's end.
