Active Single Coil Pickups -

Based on the EMG S pickup, our active single coil offers the same tone for a fraction of the cost.

7  Way Switching -

We use a push/pull 25k volume pot and do a little fancy wiring here.

When the switch is down, the switch is that of a normal Strat.

Pull the switch up, and you engage the Bridge pickup in any postition that the switch is in. So in position 4 and the pot pulled up, you have all 3 pickups on. In position 5, the neck and the bridge pickups are both active.

The BAND CONTROL UNIT

Every guitar pickup has a natural resonance characteristic. The BCU is designed to supplement the resonance and to change the frequency and gain spontaneously to provide the controllable parametric EQ option.

The BCU will give you a chance to experience the sound that starts from the bright tone of vintage Tele to the fat, mid-tone of a humbucking pickup .

Features include:

Knob 0; leads your pickup to sound more rich, fat and warm by boosting the gain in a mid-range and reduce the low and high frequency range. You can have a humbucking sound from your single coil pickup.

Knob at 5-leads your pickup to give the harmonics a boost. Shifting the mid-high band slightly and reduce the gain in low-mid band.

Knob at 10 -leads your pickup sound more bright and distinctive tone by expanding your guitar sound. Low and high frequency will be boosted while mid range is 'V' shaped It has a powerful bass and treble by boosting a high and low frequency range while mid range is 'V' shaped.

Just pull the knob to up to engage the BCU.

THE QDD

The built in Booster/ Distortion Unit

5 Way Rotary Switch

Position 1- BYPASS, like the circuit is not there at all.

Position 2- Clean Boost, like having a preamp boost pedal. There is a gain control on the unit so you can adjust the output level. Great way to step out for a solo.

Position 3- Light Overdrive, think a little dirty here.(No, not that kind of dirty!) Just a good overdrive sound.

Position 4- Distortion, Santana to Boston Classic Rock distortion. More then the overdrive, but not too much. Just the right amount.

And of course,

Position 5- METAL ZONE!

Full out balls to the wall. This is perfect for METAL!

All this at the turn of a knob! And all without a pedal.

So what do we have when we combine it all.

You have a pickguard that has just about any tone you may need.

From a Strat, pull the volume knob up, and you have the sounds of a Tele, roll the BCU and turn those single coils into fat humbuckers. Kick in the QDD and rock the house down! 

Nice thing is you only need ONE battery!

We have it all wired and ready, we even supply the stereo input jack!

Special thanks to an artist by the name of Bill Luck. He was the one who helped us design this one. Bill was looking to spice up his strat. He saw our DG20 and KH21 setups and called us up.

Bill says he plays everything from James Taylor to Metallica, so we needed to build something that was going to fit the "Bill".

Okay, we know, bad joke!

With all the great ideas we had over an hour and a half, the DFBL was born.

Combining  elements from both the DG and KH guards,and adding the 7 way switching, we created by far our most exciting setup yet!

Shipping Time-

Generally we ship within 24-48 hours. Take into account weekends. Also, we are a 3 person shop, so sometimes things do happen. We do our best, but people must have days off. And we do a lot of business off EBAY. So things can get hectic.

Returns/ Refunds-

Ebay is an auction house. All rules apply. We do not accept returns. Know this BEFORE you buy. All items are stocked and/or made in our shop. They are all brand new unless otherwise stated. If you buy something and it does not work for your guitar, please do not blame us. We picture all our products here, we do not use stock photos or descriptions. Make sure that you are aware of what you need. Sometimes aftermarket parts require mods to work. If you are restoring a '57 Strat, please do not buy a $20 harness! Common sense for most people, but there are a few that do not understand this concept.

This rule does not apply if the item is defective. Rare, but it does happen. If this is the case, we will exchange the item at our expense.

 PROBLEMS-

Okay, sometimes people have an issue. We will bend over backwards to fix it, but you MUST let us know. Please don't leave a bad feedback and air your dirty laundry! It is not fair to us if we are not aware of any problems. In EVERY listing ,we give you our email and TOLL FREE number. We are here 9-6 Pacific time Mon-Sat. There is no reason not to pick up the phone and call us on OUR dime. We cannot make it any easier.

With Ebay's new feedback system, we have no recourse for bad bidders. This is not fair to seller's and some bidders are taking advantage of sellers threatening negative FB if they do not meet there crazy demands. This is against policy, and we WILL report you. So do not try.

Most of our customers are repeat buyers, and if this is your first time, we welcome you. We value your business in the upmost, but remember, we do not need the headache. As the owner, I built my first guitar over twenty years ago, and have been in business since 2000. While I know alot, it is far from everything. But, I am very knowledgable about all the parts we sell.

Custom Pickguards-

We wire them to the customer specs, so please give us a few days to do the work. If you want something different then listed, please let us know. But you must allow us a few days to complete the job.

Tech Service-

Since we do offer a wide array of products that require soldering, please make sure that you know how to solder. We do many pre wired pickguards and harnesses, but some soldering is still required. We cannot and will not teach you how to solder. One customer (did not know how to solder) actually left us a bad feedback , then send many emails asking for our help to teach him! ( Yes, you know who you are).

We offer customer service, but basic knowledge is required. We cannot explain the basics to you. We can help, but paying repair customers in the store come first. As the old saying goes, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" No more. Understand the project before you tackle it. Most soldering only requires the input jack and bridge ground. All other soldering is done already.Our in-store repair rate is $35.00 dollars an hour, and we are ALWAYS busy. So please know that you can handle the job BEFORE you buy.
