You are bidding on a Black Fender Eric Johnson Stratocaster:

The guitar is in Excellent Condition cosmetically
& functions flawlessly. There are no dings or nicks or chips.  

If you are into these guitars you know they sound wonderful. One of the
drawbacks however, is their playability, due to the smallish frets and the
sticky feel of the heavy lacquer on the neck that never seems to go away. NOT
WITH THIS ONE!

I sent this guitar to Mike Tuttle Custom Guitars, www.bestfrets.com. Mike stripped the heavy
sticky lacquer off of the neck, leaving the face of the headstock original.
Then he refinished the neck in a hand rubbed real oil finish. It is smooth as
silk and NEVER gets sticky! Mike also installed new 6100 frets, a new real bone
nut & then did one of his outstanding setups. The finished result is an EJ
Strat that sounds great but ALSO PLAYS GREAT! The neck will darken & mellow as its played.

If your looking to save some $$ on a EJ Strat this is really a great one
& you won’t find one that plays better. Mike had done two EJ’s for me & I’m keeping the other
one.

The long-awaited Eric Johnson Stratocaster guitar arose from Johnson’s
express wish to give something back to the collectors, players and fans who’ve
supported him throughout his career.

Designed by Johnson himself with his own personal features and preferences,
this signature model has a highly contoured two-piece alder body with a very
thin nitrocellulous lacquer finish. The one-piece quarter-sawn maple neck has a
V-shaped profile, 12” fingerboard radius and 21 polished frets. The staggered
vintage-style machine heads eliminate the need for a string tree, and the
custom pickups are wound to Johnson’s specs. Other features include a parchment
’57-style pickguard, four-spring vintage tremolo, silver-painted block and
’57-style string recess with no paint between the base plate and the block.
