This is a 1979 Fender Stratocaster that I purchased in the early 90's. I know I'm going to regret selling this one because it plays like butter and sounds great. It's really resonant and not harsh or ice-picky sounding. Fender did not make it's best guitars in the late 70's, but this one stands out. It's got a pretty fat neck for a Strat, which I find really comfortable to play.
Functionally, the guitar has no issues. Cosmetically, it's got some dings, scratches, and checking - about what you would expect from an old guitar that was played a lot. The frets are in good shape - I had them leveled a while back and the guitar plays extremely well.
The only modifications I have made to the guitar were replacing the pickups with a Lindy Fralin vintage hot set (amazing pickups), and replacing the bridge saddles with Fender replacement saddles. For more info on Lindy's pickups, see http://www.fralinpickups.com/stratstyleVH.asp
Included is the vibrato bar and a hard shell case, which is not the original case.
