Warmoth/fender Strat Wbrazilian Fretbrd, Leather Gigbag
1989 Fender Stratocaster 60s Reissue US $3,000.00 |
This auction is for a Warmoth stratocaster style guitar in Candy Tangerine. The neck and body were made by Warmoth and the rest of the parts are all high quality (see list below). The neck is thick quartersawn maple with a Brazilian rosewood fretboard. The body is lightweight (3lbs 15oz) alder with a flake finish.
Issues: the bridge plate screws were too long for the body (not sure if it was a body or bridge issue) and came through into the tremolo cavity a little bit where the springs are (see photo). One of the tuning machine holes was a problem and the drilled hole went almost all the way through the headstock (see pic) and I also had to plug a hole that was made under the same tuning machine. There is one small ding on top of the guitar near the bridge (see pic). None of these issues affect the guitars tone or playability, it still looks great and you have to look closely to see them anyways.
Overall this is a great guitar that sounds excellent, the custom shop pickups have a really nice vintage vibe. It plays perfectly and the action is just high enough to eliminate most buzzing. Comes in a great Levy's leather gig bag which is in excellent shape. I don't know the exact weight but this guitar should be right around 7 to 7.5 lbs. (the Callaham bridge adds a bit more weight than a regular bridge). Please feel free to ask any questions and happy bidding!

I'm including two sets of Ernie Ball nickel strings (11 gauge), the box for the pickups with extra pickup covers and an extra white pickguard because the mint green one was used when I put it on and has some scratches.
