This is a rare find, a matching set of Collector grade Fender Paisley Telecaster and Stratocaster guitars that are in amazing mint condition. These are BOTH the older MIJ (Made in Japan) versions rather than the newer CIJs (Crafted in Japan) Fenders that many sellers mistakingly post as older models.

The Stratocaster is the older rare version with the large headstock, CBS logo, and 3 bolt neck plate designed after a '68ish Stratocaster. The "L" serial number puts it at 1991 or 1992 (making it 20-21 years old) This guitar is 100% original down to the electronics, covers,everything. There is not a chip, ding, scratch anywhere on this guitar. It has been displayed all its life (I am the second owner) and I just replaced the original strings recently as I wanted to get it ready to sell. I have plugged it in and played it here at home but have never taken it out to play. It sounds great and plays great I'm just too afraid of banging it up so I take others out to play. The case is the original rectangular FENDER logo molded plastic case with butterfly latches which is near mint as well. I promise you will not find another paisley strat of this vintage in this kind of shape and with original parts.

The Telecaster is possibly my favorite tele I've ever owned. It is also an MIJ guitar with the "A" serial number on stamped on the bridge. All websites date this MIJ guitar to 1985 or 1986 (making it 26 ro 27 years old) but it is debatable to some. I do believe the guitar to be from this era though as it has the full size pots that the older japanese fenders had and the neck has turned into a beautiful honey toned color that comes with age, notice the strat neck is not as dark. This guitar is also 100% original down to the pots, pickups, everything. There is only one thing that keeps this tele from being dead mint and that is a couple short hairline finish cracks at the neck heel. This is very common in these early japanese fenders and is due to a very tight neck to body fit which is actually a good thing. The tight fit results in a more solid, sustaining, better sounding guitar, Unfortunately without room to expand/contract it often causes a couple hairline finish cracks. They are too small to photograph and hard to even notice but I wanted to point them out. Other than that there is not a dent, ding, chip, or scratch anywhere on this guitar either. It also has its original rectangular FENDER logo molded plastic case in near mint condition as well with flip latches rather than the butterfly latches on the strat case. I believe I am the second owner of this guitar as well and it has been taken care of.

I can't stress enough how nice these two guitars are, I have owned them several years now and I spent a lot of time/money seeking these guitars out when I bought them. The early MIJ fenders will only go up in value and are already getting harder to find and are going for some serious bucks, even some in rough shape with non original parts. They often sell for well over a grand each here on ebay in rougher shape. Anyway feel free to ask any questions and if you're local you can even check them out.
