Fender Stratocaster

Up for auction is a silver hardware 2004 american deluxe strat that i would rate 8.75 out of ten in total condition...The guitar is solid and plays fast with low action..Heres a simple pros and cons breakdown to help you understand what this guitar has going for it and against it

Pros:

SCN noiseless pickups and s1 switching(superior to the new fender n3's)

FRETS are in excellent conditon( not a single buzz anywhere on this guitar.

ALDER BODY/MAPLE NECK, headstock front is clear laquered back of neck is satin and smooth

LOCKING TUNERS, quick string changes and stays in tune well..

This is overall a very nice looking and playing strat.The silver edition 50th anniversary guitars are becoming harder and harder to find...I also believe that the guitar makers were building a much better instrument in 2004...I held this one up to a new 2012 american deluxe...I would pick this one every time.The woods on the new ones are wavy and seemingly poorly finished..But in 2004 I think Fender was working with a little extra pride with the anniversary and all

Cons:

I used this guitar to drive a roland GR55.it has 2 holes in the pickguard..The top one goes into the wood(covered by pickguard) and doesnt effect the guitar at all.

No trem bar.14 bucks at any music store

Rear strap button doesnt snug down to my liking...Maybe as simple as one drop of wood glue...havent tried...

the guitar is 8 years old it has a few nicks on it...Finish nicks only..none into the wood that I can see...

All in all a great guitar that to be honest I dont want to see go but I simply dont use it...I endorse G&L's and have EJ strats...Comes with original hardshell case thats in very good shape..

The original backplate is not shown but comes with the guitar.the guitar is setup intonated with clean new strings 10-50 ga..
